HOW LONG DO THE COVERS TAKE TO INSTALL?
It depends! For a beginner, a bucket set (driver and passenger seats) will take around an hour. Once you get the hang of it, it will take 20 – 30 minutes. Rear seats are about the same, 40/20/40 fronts take a little longer. Learn more about installing TigerTough seat covers in this blog.
Do they block the airbags in the seat?
No. Nope. Uh-uh. We make dang sure you’re as safe as possible. Rather than cover the airbags up or leaving a gaping hole for them to deploy from, we’ve created a safe, good-looking solution. We use a special thread in the airbag area that allows the airbag to come through the cover when it deploys.
Are they washable?
They are totally washable. Take the covers off, dump them in your washing machine, and say adios to the grease, dirt, and Potato Olés that have found their way into the cover. General care instructions:
- In most cases dirt, debris, spills and pet hair can be removed by wiping with a damp cloth.
- Seat covers can be removed and machine washed on low-temperature setting using a mild detergent.
- Drip dry or machine tumble dry on a no heat cycle.
- Straps should be coiled and secured with rubber bands for machine washing and drying.
- Soil may be removed with spray cleaner or detergent and water.
- Do not use bleach.
What about waterproof?
We prefer the term water resistant (We aren’t allowed to say waterproof because sewing makes tiny needle holes). They’re also coffee, soda, and motor oil resistant. If you spill something, you can wipe it off and move on without worrying about who is going to shampoo your seat.
Are TigerTough seat covers a universal fit?
Nope. We’re pretty proud of our custom fit. Each cover is designed to be make, model, and year specific. If you need help figuring out what cover you need, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Do you make headrest covers?
If your vehicle has headrests, we cover them. Headrest covers are always included with TigerTough seat covers.
The exception to this is if your vehicle has Active Headrests or an Active Headrest Restraint System. You can’t cover those or the headrest won’t function like it is supposed to in the case of an accident.
What fabric are they made from?
Our IronweaveTM and Tactical seat covers are made from 1000 denier Cordura®️ fabric that has a custom urethane coating and a waterproof coating. The SportweaveTM covers are made from 900 denier fabric with the same coatings.
What is your warranty?
The TigerTough warranty is a two year, unconditional, no BS warranty. If you break it, we’ll fix or replace it. If you need more details, view the full warranty.
How long do they last?
We guarantee them for two years! How long they’re going to last is hard to answer though. It depends if your vehicle is your weekend baby or if it is a police car that’s on the road 24/7. They’re going to last a long time.
What vehicles do you cover?
Well, since fleet vehicles are our specialty, we cover all the common fleet trucks and vans. We also cover all the usual police vehicles. To find out if we make a cover for your vehicle, you can check in our vehicle search. If it’s older than 2010, give us a call at 507.246.3545
Do you ever offer discounts on seconds?
Nope. We don’t sell any seconds, scratch & dent, or whoopsies. Basically, if we’re not proud of what we made, it doesn’t leave the factory.
How about sales & discount codes?
Again, no. We figure it makes more sense to sell everything at a fair price all year long so that we can pay our people a fair wage and make sure you get the best price without having to wait for some holiday to roll around.
How much do seat covers cost?
That’s going to vary on your make and model, but the average cost of bucket seat covers for trucks is $297. Seat covers are an investment, but they pay for themselves over time.
Do you have free shipping?
Yes! Every $100+ order gets free shipping (to the contiguous 48 states). Shipping will be calculated at checkout for orders less than $100.
