TigerTough representatives were in Tampa, FL for the NAFA 2017 Expo. They talked to a lot of fleet managers and got a lot of feedback on seat wear and seat covers. Here are some of their takeaways.
“When you get in a reserve truck that is worn out inside, you feel like you’re driving a piece of junk.”
MINNESOTA FLEET MANAGER
“If it looks like a piece of s**t, they’re going to treat it like a piece of s**t.”
COLORADO FLEET MANAGER
“I was just at an auction before I came down here. The trucks with worn out seats didn’t bring anything. People would open the door, see the hole in the seat, and shut the door because they thought the truck was junk.”
CALIFORNIA FLEET MANAGER
“I haven’t used seat covers because they don’t fit well and they always move around”
OHIO FLEET MANAGER
“Our sewer department uses Sprinters. They’re tearing the corners of the seats open in 15,000 to 25,000 miles.”
FLORIDA POLICE FLEET MANAGER
“We’re covering the driver’s seats in our squad cars for $375 twice in the life of every vehicle.”
“I want that YETI cooler!”
It was great being able to show these fleet managers that there was a better alternative to recovering seats, ignoring the problem, or using an ill fitting cover.
